Rant Alert – Stop walking away

August 14th, 2009 · 22 Comments · Rant, Real Estate

Okay I’ve discussed that we need to stop blaming subprime mortgages.  That we need to stop pointing a finger at all the “irresponsible” people and stop BLAMING banks for giving them loans.  Well I’m going to share what I really think and what the hell is pissing me off.
People who walk away.  People who qualified [...]

The importance of Customer Service

April 1st, 2009 · 4 Comments · Frugal, Rant

Happy April Fool’s Day, and today’s post is no JOKE.    I am about to rant about poor customer service.  Perhaps I’m wrong, but maybe I’m right.  For what it’s worth, I am unhappy with the customer service I received thus the company will sadly feel my wrath on this blog.
Last week I ordered $1 off [...]

just because you can afford it…

October 29th, 2008 · 19 Comments · Rant, Spending

I just got through a visit from my parents.  Always interesting, always tiring.  So anyway my parents stayed with us and it was good. They visited me last year and I was surprised.  First time in 4 years, and a repeat visit was unheard of. I think it was mostly due to my siblings moving [...]

UPS Rant!

October 18th, 2008 · 13 Comments · Rant

Beware this is a huge UPS rant. I hate UPS with a passion. I hate the fact UPS says they will be by your house by 6 pm, and thus when you come home by 5 pm and there isn’t a note on the door, you assume they haven’t arrived.  Then you wait until 7 [...]

What’s happened to Customer Service?

October 11th, 2008 · 4 Comments · Rant

Have you noticed the recent trend of stores to cut back on employees? That nowadays waiting in lines have become the norm instead of the exception? I have to wonder if the state of the economy has not changed the way companies do business?
Right now companies are thinking, if I cut jobs perhaps I can [...]

Update on medical care

September 29th, 2008 · 19 Comments · Insurance, Rant, health

Well I had to call my primary care physician for a referral. I got one and they were not able to see me today.  So instead I decided to call another orthopedic doctor.  And I got an appointment.
I have to retake x-rays because the Emergency Room did not give me copies of the X-rays.  Gee [...]

As a side note, tomorrow the 152nd Carnival of Debt Reduction will be hosted here.  Please remember to visit and submit by 5 pm today!
I am going to rant a little bit. I can’t stand the fact that in our society today we have to tip for everything. That basically tipping at restaurants went from [...]

Paying for Tot’s Photo

July 31st, 2008 · 10 Comments · Rant

This author says it’s not a bad idea to pay for celebrity tot’s photos.  She says it’s a safer way to allowing the world to see the child rather than having the paparazzi chase down the parents and child.
But heck, Angelie Jolie and Brad Pitt’s twin’s photos are going for $15M to put into People [...]

MP Regrets House…

July 14th, 2008 · No Comments · Debt, Economy, Financial Mistakes, Rant, stupid tax

Well it took 7 months, but apparently MP Dunleavy is now regretting her decision to buy her second home while renting out the first home.  I mentioned this was a stupid idea in December 2007 here.  And last month I asked why is she complaining about paying off debt?  Especially since she was reducing retirement savings to [...]

Lines of Division?

June 10th, 2008 · 13 Comments · Morals, Net Worth, Personal Finance, Rant

I had a very heated debate with my mom and aunt when they were visiting over racism in the US.  They are both in their 50s and have not been exposed to many other cultures.  They believe that racism is still rampant in the US.  Neither believe that Barack Obama can become president. That the [...]
