Dog Cloning

June 24th, 2008 · No Comments

BioArts is auctioning off 5 spots to clone your pets.  The starting bid is $100k.  WOW.  I can’t believe people are going to do it.  And one spot will be [...]

Bichons are expensive!

February 9th, 2008 · 1 Comment

I love my two Bichon Frises, but they can be expensive. But not nearly as expensive as my Brother’s Bichon. Actually his BF is the reason why I got mine, they are adorable, non-shedding, sturdy, funny, and excellent with kids.
Anyway in a short aside, my brother and SIL went out shopping quickly a week ago, [...]

Buying a purebred dog

July 6th, 2007 · 4 Comments

Okay, I’m nuts about my dogs. I enjoy having our Bichon Frises, one we got from a breed specific rescue, and the other a pound. I think the one we got from the pound is a little poodle, and not 100% Bichon Frise, but I could be wrong.
Anyway we spent $300 on [...]

Being worthy of money…marital argument #4

May 12th, 2007 · 5 Comments

One huge difference between cheap and frugal people is - cheap people never feel like they are worthy of money thus are unable to spend money; while frugal people know they are but choose not to spend it.
DH’s family are the type of people who lived without. Though they had money they severly limited their [...]

Make easy money…dog boarding

January 20th, 2007 · 3 Comments

Since we’re going home we have to board both of our dogs at a kennel. They probably wouldn’t do well staying at someone’s house, not that we known anyone who could watch them for 5 days. But also they need some sort of companionship and walks. So the place we go to is a private [...]
