I just wanted to quickly do a turbotax review.  We did our taxes at the last minute again.  We had done a rough calculation in March, but for some reason tax forms were still arriving in April.  This year we again used Turbotax Premier instead of paying a CPA.

Honestly?  I found it easy.  We imported our data from last year which helped A LOT!  I also think that doing our own taxes helps us keep a handle on our income, spending, and tax planning.  By using an accountant you really don’t build a tax plan.  Doing it yourself, forces you to be aware of tax law and thinking about it throughout the year.

I will likely use Turbotax again next year and if we start a business I think we might have to get Turbotax for businesses.  Maybe even their accounting software.
