I can't believe people would take such blatant advantage of generosity. Even on special occasions when someone else is paying for me, I've always ordered a modest meal. Frankly, I don't see the point in paying premium on a steak that I could do better at home with, so I usually go with chicken. But, I just think it's rude to order pricey items on someone else's dime. And then, if they don't even thank you for the meal...that's just B.S. in my opinion. Some people, sheesh! I am so happy to see this in print. It's nice to know l am not alone. It got so bad with a particular "friend", every time l would go to dinner towards the end of our friendship, my husband would make sure that l only took 40 dollars, just enough to cover my bill and tip. I used to carry 100 dollar bills or credit cards and as soon as she saw it, she would be like.. l'll pay the next time, which of course never happened. It went like that for 4 years till my hubby got wind of the situation. Some people are just users and cheapskates l guess. Oh My God!.. I am so happy to see this in print.
