This week I hosted the Carnival of Twenty-Something Finances. Be sure to check it out. Next week I’ll be hosting the Carnival of Personal Finance. Please submit a post here. These are the carnivals I participated in this week. Also please leave a comment for a chance to win Killing Sacred Cows, the book I reviewed this week.
- 179th Carnival of Personal Finance
- 152nd Festival of Frugality
- 39th Carnival of Money Hacks
- 11-17-08 Cavalcade of Risk
- 85th Carnival of Money Stories
- 1st Carnival of Money Hawks
- 1st Carnival of Financial Resources
- One Family’s Debt Roundup
Posts I found interesting this week.
- Wenchypoo’s “why we skip the holidays”, honestly I have to agree, and wish I could do it. But I have scaled back dramatically.
- MiB talks about “how this is different from the 1930s“
- Louise talks about “combining private and public healthcare“, another socialist medical system.
- I pick up pennies talks about “who thought being poor was the way to go“. A very interesting perspective that you can’t fall far. True, but it’s not fun being that low on the pole.
- Dog talks about the “Prius Guy” I didn’t know they still existed.
- FMF talks about the “Big 3 bailout” as well.
- Nickel writes about “Ted Turner on the Economy“, I think his ownership of CNN does influence what we perceive as the “economy”.
- NCN gives us the lowdown on “debt reduction 101“. Very nice layout of a form to fill out.
And that wraps up the week. Have a great weekend.

Thanks for the link!
It’s certainly true that we wouldn’t be living this way if we had another option. But at least we don’t have to worry about being downsized!
