This week I participated in multiple carnivals. Also next Monday I’ll be hosting the carnival of Twenty-Something Finances. Please submit a post here, and come back on Monday to check it out. Also please leave a comment for a chance to win the book Investing for Dummies. But onto the roundup.
- Festival of Frugality Veteran’s Day
- 178th Carnival of Personal Finance
- 84th Carnival of Money Stories
- 165th Carnival of Debt Reduction
- 38th Carnival of Money Hacks
- 4th Book Review Carnival
- Investing Carnival Remembrance Edition
- 10th Bankruptcy Carnival
- 18th Rich Life Carnival
Here are some posts I found interesting this week
- MoneyNing asks does credit card spending limit affect your credit score? I have heard it does.
- The Financial Blogger is avoiding daycare costs by starting their own daycare. Very cool.
- Terry asks “are you really saving a buck at the dollar store.” I think I walk out with too much stuff anyway.
- Nickel asks the question “What would you do with a second stimulus check?” Spend it on DH’s tuition, same as before. Spending but on a necessity.
- Trees Full of Money warns us about “Being careful when consolidating your credit cards“.
- Rich Credit Debt Loan talks about “Resisting Panic: A quick Guide to surviving the credit crunch”.
- FMF talks about “Holiday Tipping Overview“. I bought $20 Starbucks gift cards to give away. Laziness.
- Happiness is better talks about “10 reasons I Want you to be financially Independent“. I think the list is good, but I think sometimes it can just be a simple wanting to spend more time with your family that drives the need.

Thanks for the mention! Many people are disagreeing with what I heard from the customer service person about the credit score mentioned in the post so who knows who’s correct!
