More than once, taken money out of the ATM and not stuffed it far enough into a pocket, only to find later that it was gone. Or it came out when I pulled out my gloves. Or whatever. I just consoled myself by hoping that whoever found it needed it more than I did! I can't think who you would return it to, or how you would find its rightful owner. I would just call it lucky! Donate a little something to charity if you feel like paying it forward. These things do even out. I’ve been on both ends of that dilemma.
