		<description>My son spent 6 weeks in Australia and backpacking is the only way to go for those on a budget.  I paid for his membership is Hosteling Internation (http://www.hihostels.com/) and it has been worth every penny.  Of course, common sense goes a long way too.  I wish hosteling were as popular here as abroad.  Maybe this economic crisis will encourage travelers to think outside the box.</description>
