deals from the weekend

September 21st, 2008 · No Comments · Free Money, Frugal, coupons

Normally I don’t do posts but I had such a great deal weekend I decided to share.

First up CVS.

  1. Free L’oreal Revitalizer moisturizer.  Great deal, and there are $3 off coupons in your 7/20 Smart Source Inserts. It’s only good till tomorrow though so move fast.
  2. Free Nivea Body Wash for men.  Worth trying out.  Also $1 off coupons in 7/20 Smart Source
  3. Free after coupon Adidas deodorant.  Must use $1 off coupon from 7/27 SS or 9/7 SS.  If not $1 for deodorant isn’t bad.
  4. Crest Pro Health Toothpaste or Mouthwash.  Free after $1 off coupon from 8/31 Protor Gamble coupon insert.  Also limit 2, so one toothpaste and one mouthwash!

Second stop Petco.  I got a great deal on Dog Food this weekend.  Right now until October 26, 2008, there is a prinatble coupon for $10/$50 or $5/25, push on the link.  I used the $5/25 when I bought 2 bags of 40 lb Eukanuba senior diet medium breed dog food for $22/each!  Yes!  Score, they were marked down 50% off, I think they are discontinuing the line.  Which unfortunately means testing my allergic dog on different foods to see what he can eat.  I’ve tried a ton of different foods by the way and he’s been allergic to most.

I didn’t shop at Walgreens but there are deals to be had.

  1. L’oreal register rewards, buy $25 and get $10 back.  Not a bad deal.
  2. Buy 2 Reach products get $5 back @ $2/5.

Of course I stopped at Costco this weekend. Because there is a coupon book out. Not the best deals, can be beaten by supermarket sales and coupons, but easier than waiting in some cases.  I bought prepackaged foods, for shame!  Marie Callendar’s pot pies (quick lunch when I don’t make it) $10.79 – $3 coupon, snapple variety pack (testing it out) $14.99 – $4, belgian waffles (testing out) $8.69 – $2, Sun chips $8.29 – $2.  I won’t tell you how the rest of the trip went but I walked out $148 poorer.

Granted I will give this caveat, the price of dried fruts was amazing.  $10.99 Mangoes for 3 lbs, $11.89 for 20 oz dried berries, and 7.99 for 3 lbs of fresh strawberries.  The rest well let’s say I haven’t shopped all month.
