I am the breadwinner in our household. I make double what DH makes. However, neither of us cares.....DH does not care about money. He has a good paying job and one that he likes. I have a good paying job and love what I do as well . I could care less what DH makes as long as he likes what he is doing. So I think it is not true that men are intimidated by women who make more than they do. I am sure that there are men who are, but not everyone is like that. In fact, I have a ton of friends who make more than their husbands.

Well I think they want someone who earns more because that means that they're on the same level/status as they are to be able to have the potential to earn that amount.

Just a guess..

Women never really want men to earn less than them, it threatens the men (even if they don't admit it) and makes the woman uncomfortable.

But not even a LOT more, maybe just $15k more, or the same amount as them makes woman sense... I dunno why.

Maybe just in case they get sick, they can cover the bills? Or vice versa? It's nice to know there's a cushion there with your partner.

What a great post - am linking this
