Online Grocery Shopping?

June 24th, 2008 · No Comments · Frugal, Spending

Okay I’m trying out buying groceries online.  Not at a supermarket, although I plan on trying that soon as well, but non-perishable Asian food.  Unfortunately where I live, sucks on buying Asian groceries.  Usually it’s poor quality and it can be difficult to find what I want, and it’s overpriced to boot!

So I’m trying this site called www.veryasia.com.  I have no idea how long it will take to get to me, or what shape it will be in.  But I figure, what’s the worst than can happen?  My neighbors shop online for Indian food all the time for exactly the reasons I stated above, quality, price, and availability.  They were the ones who suggested looking for stuff online.

I gotta admit, it bites to have to do this.  Probably one of the reasons I miss CA is the lack of ethnic grocery stores and food places.  But I’ll review what my experience is like later after I get my food and see what it’s like.  This does save gas costs, but we’ll see.  Wish me luck
