May Networth Wrap Up

June 4th, 2008 · No Comments · Net Worth

This month our net worth should be taking a beating. DH’s tuition is all due and basically I paid $6k in cash with another $6k due 6/10. Sigh.  So much for our savings.  I do understand that it’s all fake savings because we save every month for something coming due in 3-4 months, but it’s nice to see.

But on the good news our retirement is at $95k, I’m just dying for it to hit $100k.  It will happen by the end of the year, unless the market tanks, but our contributions will get us there.  Our net worth wraps up at $237k, down $3500 (boo-hiss) from last month because of the tuition payments, but I’d love to hit $250k also by the end of the year.  We’ll see.

Spending of course has been terrible.  But we had visitors for 1 week and our roommate’s parents came as well.  So our outrageous grocery, gas, and eating out bills were only to be expected.

We spent $235 on gas, $125 dining out (not bad mostly because we were treated by guests), and $300 on groceries.  We also blew $180 on a night out watching the Boston Pops.  Our bills have been outrageous.
