I’d be curious to know how many men would say “whoever invites should pay.” And how many of those would actually let their date foot the bill if she offered?
I think a lot of women say that whoever asks should pay, and some men even agree, but in my region of the world at least (Texas, the Southest) it’s generally the men who initiate the first dates anyway, so the question is moot.

I’m a lady, and unless it is a special invite, the man always pays. I am traditional in this sense.

As a man, I would assume that I’m supposed to pick up the tab but I wouldn’t be offended if she wanted to go dutch.
